  The Petty house was a great place for a large family group to stay. It has 6 bedrooms all of which have their own bathroom (Yea!). The kitchen is large but another refrigerator would have been nice with this large of a group(it holds 16 guests). Also we noticed that there really wasn't enough kitchen seating (for 16) so when we all ate together some of us ate outside on the porch--- 2 tables and chairs outside). It is right on the beach with an easy walk over the dunes. The beach was never crowded, although we did get some overflow from the nearby hotels. It was an easy walk to Main Street which had alot of little shops and small restaurants/ice cream and a small arcade.We liked it so much that we have rented the Petty house 2 years in a row and hope to return next year. We noticed that some maintainance work had been done on the porch (last year the screen doors were broken and some of the slats on the porch were shakey) and we were pleased that they had made the porch safer and more enjoyable. It's a great place to stay for a large, extended family group.

  We had 16 people stay at the Petty House and there was still plenty of room for more! We were not crowded at all and that says a lot since all 16 of us are women! We have been going on a friends beach trip for the last 15+ years and everyone said this one was their favorite. The kitchen has been totally upgraded and is huge. The bedrooms are very spacious and clean. The layout of the house is perfect for a large group. Since the ceiling in the den is open it makes it feel twice the size. The screened in porch is great, we kept the sliding glass doors open and enjoyed the breeze off the ocean and the views. We will definitely stay at the Petty house next year. We loved it!
